As I read the quote on my page, I realized I’ve been staring at it for a long time without truly taking in its meaning. It says:
“May you always see yourself as you truly are—perfectly perfect.”
But what does that really mean? The truth is, none of us see ourselves the way God sees us. Yet Scripture reminds us that we are beautifully and wonderfully made because He made us. We are His workmanship.
Psalm 139:14 declares:
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
Ephesians 2:10 says:
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand for us to do.”
We are not mistakes. We were meant to be here at the exact time we were born. God has great plans for us all. We were put here to do great works, to do great things.
We were all put here on purpose and for a purpose. We must seek God and His face so we can walk in the purpose He has for us. If you don’t know your purpose or wonder why you are here, seek God and see what happens. Read His Word and pray—He will speak to you.
God made us perfect in His sight. He made your face, your hair, and your body perfect for His will. Never think any less of yourself or let anybody look down on you or speak negatively about you. Don’t let anyone count you out. If they do, they simply can’t count. You are somebody.
My hope is that you see yourself as God sees you. You are perfectly perfect the way you are.
